Recent months as you all know Facebook put “like” option like friendfeed, afterwards they made home page similar to friendfeed.
I think facebook wants to be everything but it is impossible. In ınternet World there is so much company who try to specialize in one area like
-You can share your photos via facebook but people love to share much more pictures in flickr
-And facebook has “status” too but people love to write their status messages in twitter and share with others
We will write more examples like this but main point is Web 3.0 websites making their websites more simple and try to specialize in one area. But facebook acts different. They want to be everything.
With this last feature, facebook wants to stress out their search option and they are making improvements on it.
My last word is; facebook must concentrate on advertising and focus on social networking. If they couldn’t find any monetization model, i don’t know what happen then.


Great post! I think focus is the key. In this industry every business needs to find out their unique niche and be expert in it. Trying to get involved in everything might over strenth themselves.
